We seem to be off to a slow start. Some of you seem to know what 'Arranged' means and have contacted me and have started on the class. Others have not. Which ever camp you are in, this is what you need to do.
1. If you have not received an email from me, send me one. 'Portfolio' is to be the title, your name is to be the body.
2. Start the content portion of you resume. Start by looking up how to write a resume, and people in your field who have posted their resume on the web. Here are a few places to start...
- http://www.youthedesigner.com/2008/04/29/the-graphic-design-resume-guide/
3. Old Work Revision: You will need to end up with 15 to 20 pieces in your portfolio. Start looking through your old work class work, professional work, or things you have just done for fun. For now you need to find at least 3 that you can work on and improve. You can start this anytime, the sooner the better.
4. Set up a time to meet with me next week between Tuesday and Thursday to meet with me to show me what you have done by then and talk about what you have in mind for your CV. (Look it up if you don't know what a C.V. is).
